As I’ve started organising my projects and such a bit more, as well as my first “public” project (pinnounp), I decided to look into PGP keys.

I’ll be signing downloads with the yearly key, which is the one you should use if you want to send me anything using PGP. The master key is only for signing the yearly keys. I won’t be using it day-to-day.

As a customer at Good Old Games (GOG) I have several installers that pretty much just extract files to be used with DOSBox. As Linux has a native DOSBox, it seems a little wasteful to have to install Wine just to run the installer or innounp.

Several people at the GOG forums have shown an interest in a native port of innounp, so I’m beginning work on one It will be written in Perl, allowing it to be used on plenty of platforms.

A little about myself..

I’ve had a keen interest in computers and what they can do from a very young age. I (think I) started off with MS-DOS 6.22, following Windows (3.11, 95, 98 SE, 2000, XP) until I started trying out Linux and I currently use Arch Linux exclusively on all my machines.

I’m a strong supporter of the freedom of the owner of a machine and them having control over it, which means I prefer open source and have a strong dislike of DRM.

I’ve dabbled in many computer related things. Building them, troubleshooting them, setting up/running a server, 3D modelling, vector and raster art, audio manipulation, programming, gaming, networking – just to name a few.
